Biodiversity
Biodiversity is a complex series of relationships in nature that can be expressed by a simple metaphor: the web of life. The more variety of species there are, the more diverse the ecosystems in which they live; the more ecosystems there are, the more biodiversity. From environmental threats such as global warming, habitat destruction, and pollution, species are going extinct at 100 to 1000 times the normal rate, and whole ecosystems are endangered. Can we protect them from collapsing?
